Rates & Reservations

Rental of the house includes use of the first and second floors, two kitchens, and three restrooms. The house is fully accessible by those with disabilities and ample parking is available. For planning purposes, floor plans of the house are available. The Caswell House can also provide tables, chairs, bars, a podium, a public address system, and a projection screen for a nominal fee. If you choose to use our furnishings, we will set up the room before your event and return the items to storage after your event has ended.

The Daniel H. Caswell House, located at the corner of West Avenue and 15th Street, is an excellent venue in downtown Austin for corporate and special events. Whether you are planning a wedding, reception, business meeting, luncheon, fundraiser, or other event, hosting your event at the Daniel H. Caswell House is sure to impress your guests, colleagues, and clients.

You are free to choose your own caterer and other service providers. Please see our list of Preferred Caterers & Other Service Providers to choose a caterer that is right for you. These caterers support Austin Junior Forum's annual Christmas at the Caswell House event and we encourage our guests to support them!

The Daniel H. Caswell House is owned and operated by the Austin Junior Forum, a women's non-profit volunteer organization, and all proceeds from the rental of the house go back into the community through AJF's community service. So, you can feel good about doing business with us.

$500 security deposit is required in addition to the venue rental fee to secure any rental.  

Security deposits are refunded if the house is left clean with nothing broken or damaged during the event.

*The rental rate for New Year's Eve is the Saturday-December rate, regardless of the day of the week on which New Year's Eve actually falls. The rental rate for Memorial Day and Labor Day will be the Sunday rate. 

 

 


 

Payment Options

  • An event booked more than 120 days in advance is eligible for payment on an installment plan. The booking party is required to pay the full deposit and 50% of the rental fee at the time of signing the contract to reserve the date. The second installment must be secured with a credit card. The card will automatically be billed for the balance on the first of the month prior to 120 days from the event.
  • An event booked within 120 days of the event is ineligible for the payment plan.
  • We accept MasterCard and Visa for payment.

Cancellation Policy

  • If an event is cancelled more than 120 days before the scheduled date, the deposit is forfeited but rental fee is returned. If you cancel less than 120 days, the rental fee will be forfeited, but deposit returned.
